‘Ridiculous’ – Chelsea’s striker pursuit leaves some fans far from happy

Chelsea are reportedly ready to spend as much as £50m on Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

Reports suggests the Blues will pay big money for England international Wilson if they are unable to agree a deal for Gonzalo Higuain.

That deal looks far from straightforward as Higuain, who previously played under Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Juventus.

Wilson has been in superb form for Bournemouth and this season has established himself as one of the best forwards in the Premier League.

But is he really worth £50m? Many fans on social media think not – and have expressed some bemusement at the idea that Chelsea might end up shelling out such a huge fee for him.
