Chelsea duo reportedly keen to join Christensen at Barcelona

Reports in Spain continue to link Chelsea players with Barcelona.

The La Liga giants are expected to sign Andreas Christensen when his contract expires at the end of the season and were also linked with Antonio Rudiger, who now looks set to join Real Madrid.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, both Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso would welcome a move to the Nou Camp.

A clause in Azpilicueta’s contract means Chelsea can extend it by a year – but that has not stopped speculation about the defender’s future.

Azpilicueta’s form has been patchy in recent weeks and his mistake led to a defeat at Everton on Sunday.

Richarlison slotted in the winner after robbing the Spaniard near the edge of the penalty area.

It continued a worrying trend of individual mistakes costing Chelsea – and annoyed Blues boss Thomas Tuchel.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Tuchel said: “What can I do? To give a goal away is the worst thing that can happen to you in this atmosphere and situation.

“If you go behind in an atmosphere and against an opponent like this and you install belief and emotion in the stadium, and belief in the opponents’ team, you struggle.

“It’s our responsibility and it happens too often – we struggle to play without mistakes and that’s why we’re struggling to have results.”
