Chelsea boss Tuchel praises Moyes ahead of clash with ‘popular’ and ’emotional’ West Ham

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says he enjoys watching West Ham and has praised David Moyes for the job he has done.

The Blues face Moyes’ Hammers side at Stamford Bridge this afternoon and will be looking to move a step closer to sealing a Champions League place.

West Ham are also in the hunt for a European place – and are in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against them, Tuchel said manager Moyes has done “an incredible job” at the east London club.

And the German added: “It’s a very popular club and a very emotional club and a team which is enjoyable to watch.

“I follow a lot of their games because it’s nice to watch – there’s a full investment physically, the players are absolutely tired after their matches.

“They’re very hard to break down and are very dangerous in counter-attacks. There’s a lot of physicality and commitment.

“Full credit to them and it will be a very tough game.”

Chelsea will be looking to bounce after three consecutive home defeats, having been beaten by Brentford, Real Madrid and Arsenal – conceding 11 goals in the process – in recent games at the Bridge.
