Jack Wilshere has held face-to-face talks with West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini over a possible move to the London Stadium, the Daily Mail reports.

The Mail say the out-of-contract Wilshere, who recently left Arsenal, has discussed how he might fit into Pellegrini’s plans.

The England international is considering his options and is reported to have been made a lucrative offer by Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Meanwhile, The Times reports that Antonio Conte, who is widely expected to be sacked by Chelsea, has nevertheless clashed with the club over their pre-season plans.

Chelsea technical staff are reported to have emailed players who have not been at the World Cup asking them to report to the club’s training ground this weekend for fitness tests, with Conte apparently responding by saying that he is still in charge and does not want them back until next Monday.

Chelsea continue to be linked with Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland.

The Sun say Stoke are determined to keep the England international despite their relegation from the Premier League.

The newspaper say Stoke will offer Butland a £20,000-a-week pay rise in order to fend off interest from Chelsea.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in Butland along with German clubs, but The Sun believe he is ready to commit his future to Stoke, where he is under contract until 2021.

And Glasgow Rangers want Millwall defender Jake Cooper, according to the Daily Express.
