Speculation over Sanchez’s future continues

Speculation continues over the future of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has made Sanchez his number one summer transfer target, the Daily Mirror say.

It follows reports in Spain and Sanchez’s native Chile that Atletico are keen to sign the forward, who has also been linked with Paris St-Germain.

Sanchez, whose contract expires in 2018, remains in discussions with Arsenal over a new deal.

Gunners linked with Kanu

Arsenal are among the clubs monitoring 17-year-old non-League striker Idris Kanu, again according to the Daily Mirror.

The teenager was on West Ham’s books until earlier in the season and had a trial period with Manchester United last September.

He is now at National League side Aldershot Town, managed by ex-QPR boss Gary Waddock, and has scored three times in 11 appearances.

Gunners scouts apparently watched Kanu in action in match against Southport on Saturday, while Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Leicester City and Reading have reportedly also kept an eye on him.

Gunners eyeing Sibbick – Sun

Arsenal and West Ham are tracking AFC Wimbledon’s teenage defender Toby Sibbick, The Sun say.

The Gunners, who have signed defender Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town, are now said to be keeping tabs on Sibbick.

Watford are also said to be showing an interest in the 17-year-old right-back.
