Roy Keane slams Arsenal players after defeat against Wolves

Roy Keane criticised Arsenal’s players after they slumped to a 2-1 home defeat against Wolves.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta suggested after the game that his team had fought hard and he also pointed to the fact that Wolves had scored during rare attacks.

However, speaking on Sky Sports, former Manchester United star Keane made it clear he didn’t see it that way at all.
Keane declared that some of Arsenal’s players simply aren’t good enough.

And he then added: “I didn’t see that real fight that the manager was talking about. I didn’t see that desire and determination to get a result.

“You can have an off-night of course, but you still find a way to get a result.

“At this moment in time I don’t see it with this group of players. I think they look a bit soft.”

Keane’s fellow pundit Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink agreed that the current crop of Arsenal players seem short of the required standard.

“I think personnel is a big, big problem,” said the former Chelsea striker.

“When you’re Arsenal there is some kind of expectancy that people want. At this moment, they don’t get it.

“Having 14 points is just not good enough.”
