Liverpool duo to miss Arsenal clash

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is again be without key midfielders Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita for the trip to Arsenal.

Both are set to return to training in the next couple of days but are not likely to be available until next weekend.

“Hendo probably the start of (next) week will be in training,” said Klopp. “Naby is the end of this week, which doesn’t make a big difference match-wise but that’s how it looks.”

Klopp also addressed the issue of forward Mohamed Salah wearing strapping on his wrist in training.

“Mo is nothing really serious, it is an inflammation of the tendon and it’s pretty much protection, it has no influence.”

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Klopp said he was looking forward to taking on Arsenal, who have been in brilliant form under new boss Unai Emery.

But with Liverpool second in the Premier League, trailing leaders Manchester City only on goal difference, the game is being seen as a real test of Arsenal’s credentials.

“Unai Emery had a big task to come in after Arsene Wenger who was here for 50 years!” Klopp joked.

He added: “He (Emery) did brilliantly after tough start.

“It will be a very interesting match for sure. They are organised, clear planned, with good counter-attacks, they do quick outstanding plays small spaces.”
