Unai Emery has told Arsenal’s players they need to lose weight and do not run enough during matches, according to the Daily Express.

The Gunners boss apparently believes his players need to lose on average 1.3kg of fat – nearly 3lbs.

He also apparently expects them to run an extra 28.89km this season, which works out at around half a mile more per game.

Meanwhile, West Ham are in dispute with their London Stadium landlord over the colour of the material that surrounds the pitch, according to The Times.

The newspaper say West Ham are worried that having ‘Spurs blue’ around the side of the pitch will resemble the new stadium of their London rivals Tottenham.

The athletics track at the London Stadium is currently covered in green and the Hammers have successfully lobbied to change the colour.

The Times reports that West Ham want the new colour to be claret but that the landlord wants it to be dark blue.

Their continues to be speculation over the future of Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

The Daily Mirror say he could be targeted by Bayern Munich as a replacement for Jerome Boateng, who has been linked with Paris St-Germain.

And Chelsea are searching for a replacement for Michael Emenalo, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Emenalo, now at Monaco, left his job as Chelsea technical director last November.

The Telegraph say Football Association technical director Dan Ashworth and Roma director of football Monchi are among possible options for the Blues.

Both men are said to be candidates for a position at Manchester United, who are also reported to be looking to fill a similar role.

The Telegraph say other options for Chelsea include former Blues players Michael Ballack and Juliano Belletti.
