Arsenal boss Unai Emery spoke about a number of issues at his pre-match press conference ahead of Monday’s game against Leicester City.
The subject of Aaron Ramsey continues to dominate and Emery was of course asked about the Gunners midfielder, who appears to be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.
And Emery did not mince his words, insisting Ramsey will be expected to give his all despite ongoing doubts over the player’s future.
The Spaniard said: “I want his performance to be like the other players’. For example, in the last match he started on the bench, then he played 25 minutes with this performance.
“On Monday it’s the same if he starts in the first XI or on the bench, to come with the focus for this match to help us. It’s not different (than it is) for other players.
“For me January is very far (away). I’m thinking about Monday’s match first. I want every player to stay OK, with the mentality to prepare, to play and (be) together to win.”
