Crystal Palace v Arsenal: Eagles duo passed fit, Gunners defenders could return

Crystal Palace have Max Meyer and Alexander Sorloth available for selection for Sunday’s visit of Arsenal.

They each missed last week’s 2-0 defeat at Everton with viral infections, but have since recovered and been passed fit.

Christian Benteke remains Crystal Palace’s only significant absentee, as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.

Provisional squad: Hennessey, Guaita, Speroni, Wan-Bissaka, Ward, Tomkins, Sakho, Kelly, Van Aanholt, Souare, Riedewald, Townsend, Kouyate, McArthur, Meyer, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Schlupp, Ayew, Kaikai, Sorloth, Zaha.

Arsenal will be hoping to have either Nacho Monreal or Sead Kolasinac back in the squad for the derby.

Both left-backs missed the Europa League win at Sporting Lisbon with hamstring problems as Granit Xhaka filled the gap in defence.

Petr Cech will be pushing for a recall in goal having overcome his own hamstring complaint, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg) and Laurent Koscielny (Achilles) also back in training but unlikely to be up to speed.

Provisional squad: Leno, Cech, Martinez, Bellerin, Lichtsteiner, Holding, Mustafi, Koscielny, Papastathopoulos, Monreal, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Elneny, Torreira, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Smith Rowe, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Welbeck, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
