Everton keen to sign Arsenal forward

Everton want to take Lucas Perez on loan from Arsenal, who have rejected an offer from Leicester for Calum Chambers, while Crystal Palace are interested in Everton’s Oumar Niasse.

Striker Perez has been unable to establish himself as a first-team player since his move from Deportivo last summer and is among a number of forwards Everton have enquired about – another is Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.

Newcastle were previously linked with Perez but Arsenal appear to be reluctant to let him join another Premier League club. He has been tipped to return to Spain.

Chambers has been linked several clubs this summer but looks likely to stay at the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal turned down a bid of around £20m for the defender from Leicester.

Palace are looking to bring in a striker ahead of Thursday’s deadline and Senegalese forward Niasse, 27, is being considered as a possible signing.

He is not in Everton’s plans and has been linked with several clubs in recent months.

Jordon Mutch could be on his way out of Palace, with Burton interested in the midfielder.

Meanwhile, West Ham youngster Domingos Quina is set for a season-long loan move to Sheffield United.

A deal has been agreed for the 17-year-old, who will complete his move to Bramall Lane after completing a medical.

Quina will join Tottenham’s Cameron Carter-Vickers at the South Yorkshire club.

United recently signed American centre-back Vickers on loan, also for the season.
