Toni Martinez scored a hat-trick as West Ham’s Under-23 side came from behind to beat Manchester United 4-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Sam Byram and Edimilson Fernandes also featured in the game at the London Stadium, where Joe Powell scored the hosts’ other goal.
United, whose line-up included England international Luke Shaw, took an early lead through Demetri Mitchell’s goal.
After Martinez equalised, Mitchell scored again but the Hammers were level again by half-time courtesy of Martinez’s header from Nathan Holland’s cross.
And they took control in the second half, with Fernandes setting up both their goals.
Fernandes crossed for Martinez to head home and complete his hat-trick and was also involved in the fourth goal, finding Powell, who made no mistake.
