Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa teams: Teenager in for much-changed Spurs, Villa man makes debut

Tottenham make 10 changes for their FA Cup third-round tie at home to Aston Villa, with 19-year-old Cameron Carter-Vickers named in defence.

The Southend-born United States Under-23 international makes only his third Spurs appearance, alongisde Kevin Wimmer and Toby Alderweireld, who is the only survivor from the team that beat Chelsea.

Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies are the full-backs, in front of second-choice goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

Eric Dier captains the side with Moussa Sissoko also recalled to central midfield, while there are chances for Harry Winks, Heung-Min Son and Vincent Janssen.

The substitutes bench includes teenagers Kyle Walker-Peters and Josh Onomah, as well as Under-23s goalkeeper Pau Lopez and the experience of Jan Vertonghen, Vincent Wanyama and Dele Alli.

Erik Lamela is the only injury absentee for Tottenham.

Aston Villa give a debut to in goal to loan signing Sam Johnstone, who has joined from Manchester United.

Mile Jedinak has overcome illness and returns to midfield alongside Aaron Tshibola, with Gary Gardner and Ashley Westwood making way.

Gabby Agbonlahor starts up front on his own.
