West Ham, Palace and Everton keen on Clarke

West Ham and Crystal Palace are reported to be among clubs interested in signing Jack Clarke on loan from Tottenham.

The Daily Express say the two London clubs and Everton are keen on youngster Clarke, who has been overlooked since returning to Leeds.

Spurs loaned Clarke back to the Yorkshire club after buying him from them in the summer, but are expected to terminate his loan deal and loan him out again in January.

He has found himself well down the pecking order at Elland Road under Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, who has other options and has made it clear that Clarke is not first choice.

That will surely prompt Spurs to send him elsewhere in order for him to get first-team football.

“He competes with Costa, Hernandez, Harrison. If one of them are left in the team and Clarke is participating after we were going to listen that the news about Costa, Hernandez, Harrison,” Bielsa was quoted as saying this week.

“I am satisfied working with Clarke and I am sure he’s going to be necessary and important for us in relation about the news you were talking about.

“The only way to answer to this news is if Clarke who is saying that or some authority of Tottenham.”
