West Ham are among Premier League clubs interested in Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, according to reports.
The Sun have picked up on reports in Portugal suggesting that the Hammers, Newcastle and Everton are keen on Brahimi, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
He will be able to speak to foreign clubs in January and Portuguese newspaper O Jogo have claimed that he could be set for a move to England.
The Sun declare that “money is tight” at Newcastle and that his wage demands could be a stumbling block for the Magpies, while West Ham “could prove to be an attractive option” for the Algeria international.
But The Sun speculate that Everton could be the frontrunners to sign him, supposedly because boss Marco Silva previously worked at Porto’s rivals Sporting Lisbon and “knows all about Brahimi’s qualities.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Express reports that Arsenal manager Unai Emery could give youngster Eddie Nketiah a chance before deciding whether to sign a forward to replace the injured Danny Welbeck.
“The first [choice] is to look inside, and we have one striker also who is working well with the under-23s and is improving also, Eddie Nketiah, and he could have chances,” the Spaniard said.
“But I think it’s early for speaking about the possibility [of making signings] in January.”
