West Ham fear having to sack Slaven Bilic without having a replacement lined up, The Sun reckon.

There continues to be speculation over Bilic’s future and The Sun say he could be sacked as manager if his team lose at home to Liverpool on Saturday.

It is claimed that the Hammers board would feel they had to get rid of Bilic after another defeat but that none of their preferred replacements are currently available.

Watford’s Marco Silva, Eddie Howe of Bournemouth and Burnley boss Sean Dyche are all managers admired by the Hammers, but as things stand they would have no chance of luring them, The Sun say.

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph say Arsenal will have to compete with Barcelona as well as Liverpool if they are to sign Thomas Lemar.

The Gunners attempted to capture the France international from Monaco during the summer transfer window and have been tipped to make another move for him.

The Telegraph say he remains Arsenal’s priority target but that Liverpool are also keen on Lemar and that Barca are now also preparing a bid for him.

The Sun have picked up on a report claiming that Arsenal are interested in signing Napoli playmaker Jorginho.

It comes after Italian website TMW claimed that the Gunners are keen to sign him but would have to wait until the summer because he is unlikely to be sold when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Daily Star have picked up on reports in Spain linking Arsenal with Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

A number of newspapers have also picked up on a story by ESPN, which claimed Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in RB Leipzig’s Hungary international keeper Peter Gulacsi.

And Mathieu Debuchy will be recalled to the Arsenal side for the Europa League game against Red Star Belgrade, according to the Daily Mirror.

Boss Arsene Wenger is said to be planning to deploy Debuchy as a centre-back.
