Reports reveals West Ham boss Moyes’ transfer plans

David Moyes is determined to buy British players this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The newspaper say Moyes is confident he will keep West Ham up and then successfully revamp the squad.

Moyes is said to be keen to buy young British players, particularly given that Mark Noble is in the autumn of his career and Declan Rice could be sold.

West Ham have invested in various foreign players in recent years – with varying degrees of success.

They are said to be keen to learn from past mistakes and build a youthful British core of the team.

Moyes is also reportedly keen to include Grady Diangana and Josh Cullen in his squad next season.

Could young Hammers make an impact?

Diangana and Cullen have shown in the Championship this season that they clearly have plenty of potential.

Diangana has impressed on loan for promotion chasers West Bromwich Albion, while Cullen has caught the eye during his loan spell at Charlton.

If both players get a chance under Moyes next season and manage to grab it, it could potentially save the club millions.

It would of course also go down very well with Hammers fans, who are always keen to see homegrown players come through and establish themselves in the first team.
