West Ham considering move for Rangers star, Newcastle also keen

West Ham remain interested in QPR’s Ryan Manning and are continuing to monitor the Irishman ahead of a possible move.

Newcastle have been linked with Manning, who has been outstanding for Rangers since being converted from midfield to left-back.

And London Football News understands that West Ham have also been tracking him.

QPR boss Mark Warburton recently shrugged off reports that Manning is attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

Warburton told West London Sport he is not worried he might lose Manning and believes the player is happy at QPR.

“Ryan’s been playing well and it’s part and parcel of the game that there’ll be speculation about a player who’s performing well,” Warburton said.

“It doesn’t bother me and I know Ryan is happy here and knows he has to stay fully focused.

“In many ways the more speculation there is about players the better. It means they’re doing well.”

However, West Ham remain seriously interested and could be tempted to make the R’s an offer when the transfer window opens.

Manning’s contract expires at the end of the season, with reports suggesting clubs have therefore been alerted to his potential availability.

However, West London Sport have been reporting for some time that QPR are set to tie Manning to a new deal and have options to extend the contracts of Manning and Bright Osayi-Samuel by 12 months.

If that is the case, it would mean that both players are effectively under contract at Loftus Road until 2021.
