Pellegrini denies fall-out with West Ham hierarchy

Manuel Pellegrini has denied reports he is already at odds with the West Ham hierarchy over transfers.

It follows a recent story by the Daily Mirror claiming that there were problems behind the scenes just a fortnight into Pellegrini’s reign as manager.

It was claimed that Pellegrini was unhappy after a number of his suggested signings were rejected.

But Pellegrini has told the newspaper that is not the case and that he has a “very good relationship” with chairmen David Gold and David Sullivan.

The Chilean also said he is confident more new signings will arrive following the recent arrival of Ryan Fredericks from Fulham.

“I need to make it clear that there is absolutely no problem,” Pellegrini said.

“I have been made to feel welcome by everyone at West Ham since my arrival. I already have a very good relationship with the two chairmen.

“I speak to Mr Sullivan regularly and we are in agreement about our approach to bringing new players to the club this summer.

“We have already completed one very exciting signing with Ryan Fredericks coming to the club and we are working hard to bring more to West Ham for the supporters.”
