Marko Arnautovic is reportedly on course to return for West Ham sooner than initially expected.
The striker was originally ruled out until the new year after suffering a hamstring strain against Cardiff in early December.
However, the Daily Mail say he could be in contention for a return before the end of this month.
But the news on Jack Wilshere is much less positive, with the Mail reporting that West Ham are unsure when the midfielder will be back and that there are concerns about his long-term fitness.
Meanwhile, West Ham youngster Marcus Browne is wanted by a number of Championship clubs, according to The Sun.
Inter Milan want to sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal, the Mail say. There is fresh doubt over the German’s future after his latest omission from the side.
And there are more reports linking Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino with Manchester United.
The Sun claim Pochettino is being backed for the job by former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and that United are ready to pay £34m in compensation to Spurs in order to land the Argentine.
The Times say Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will demand far more than £34m if he is to let Pochettino go.
The Daily Telegraph say United are prepared to pay £42m and that Pochettino is the club’s only real target to appoint in the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been placed in caretaker charge at United until the end of the season.
The Mirror say he will be given £50m to spend during next month’s transfer window and that United’s main targets include Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.
