West Ham are among clubs being linked with Fabio Carvalho amid uncertainty over the Fulham youngster’s future.
The highly-rated midfielder, 18, has entered the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage and has reportedly turned down the club’s initial offer of a new deal.
The Daily Mail say the Hammers, Leeds United and Norwich City are interested in Carvalho, who is rated as an excellent prospect.
The newspaper say Fulham will “face a difficult decision” on whether to sell him if he does not sign a new contract.
Carvalho was born in Portugal but moved to England at an early age and has come through the club’s academy.
As he is a homegrown player and would be too young to move on a Bosman free transfer, Fulham would be entitled to a compensation fee if they do not agree a deal with another club.
Carvalho impressed in pre-season for the Whites and was given a starting place for Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Middlesbrough.
Fulham led through Harry Wilson’s first-half goal and were on top for most of the game but were denied a winning start to the season by Marc Bola’s equaliser for Boro with 13 minutes remaining.
