Five possible replacements if Arnautovic leaves West Ham

West Ham have insisted that Marko Arnautovic is not for sale after the striker was reportedly targeted by a Chinese club.

The Hammers say Arnautovic is expected to honour his contract at the London Stadium and that the club are not open to offers.

But the Arnautovic camp are pushing for the move. And with the prospect of a big-money sale potentially paving the way for West Ham to reinvest, there are several options they might consider if they are made an offer for the Austrian forward they feel they cannot refuse.

Mauro Icardi

Icardi’s future at Inter Milan looks far from certain and reports suggest he would jump at the chance to move to the Premier League. His personality and all-action style would no doubt make him a popular figure among Hammers fans.

Gerard Moreno

The Spaniard has caught the eye for Villarreal this season and a number of Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on him. He has scored 26 goals in 78 appearances for Villarreal since joining from Espanyol, where he scored 39 goals in 118 games.

Krzysztof Piatek

Aged 23 and enjoying a fine season in Italy for Genoa, the Polish frontman seems to have bags of potential. There are certainly worse – and definitely much more expensive – options out there.

Callum Wilson

The striker has forced his way into the England reckoning with some outstanding performances for Bournemouth. Chelsea have been linked with him but seemingly favour other options, particularly Gonzalo Higuain. A big-money deal for Arnautovic could finance a possible move for Wilson, although Bournemouth insist he is not for sale.

Tammy Abraham

There is another English option in Abraham, who has been superb in the Championship while on loan at Aston Villa this season. Premier League clubs want him and his long-term future appears to lie away from Chelsea.
