West Ham fans on Twitter seemed largely impressed by David Moyes’ words at his first media conference as the club’s new manager.
He spoke of the players needing to work harder, admitted he had a point to prove himself and vowed to find a winning formula to escape relegation.
Moyes was not a universally popular appointment, after his failures at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland, but quite a few were won round.
That was a really open, honest and respectable press conference from David Moyes. Good luck to him.

“step out of line you don’t play. You don’t run you don’t play” Moyes…
Thats what we need #COYI

I thought david moyes come across well in his first press conference, liked when he said if don’t put the effort in training you won’t be playing, and he would love to win playing attractive football but has to get the basic rights, that’s fair comment #whufc

I thought Moyes spoke well and seems up for the challenge, if he gets the players fit which it sounds like he is having 2 sessions a day the results will come. I didn’t want Moyes at #WHUFC after reading some U23’s training with 1st team and the training being good I’m turning.

Never thought I’d say it but I’m coming round to the Moyes appointment. Let’s hope a fresh impetus can kickstart our season. #COYI ⚒

After watching David Moyes first press conference, I’m a little more confident in him. Time to get behind him and the players and get us some points now. #COYI

We have to back Moyes. Most of us didn’t want him but guess what, he’s here. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt & prove us wrong. He did it at Everton maybe he can do it again. Hopefully he gives the likes of Rice, Martinez, Holland, Sead H & Samuelson a chance.#COYI
