There are inevitably major doubts over Slaven Bilic’s future as West Ham manager following the home defeat to Liverpool.
Bilic admitted after the game that he is under pressure and that it is unclear how the Hammers board will react to another hugely disappointing result.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Bilic said: “The pressure mounts game by game and at this moment it is big. We will see what the club will do.”
They have been widely tipped to wield the axe, with former Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland boss David Moyes reportedly in pole position to take over.
That has not done down well with many Hammers fans on Twitter, some of whom have been pleading with the Hammers hierarchy not to appoint the Scot.
So the boards plan is to get rid of Bilic and bring in David Moyes…. #whufc #coyi #PremierLeague pic.twitter.com/aVKJUxn1ie

Memories of his first season will stay he has to go. #BilicOut. But if Moyes is the answer, I’m very worried at what the question is #COYI

I would rather my manager at U15 level take over at West Ham than David Moyes. Bare in mind, we conceded 126 goals in that season #COYI

I’d rather gauge my eyes out with a hot spoon than David Moyes become our manager. What have you done to West Ham!! #GiveOurClubBack #coyi

Why on earth would we hire moyes when koeman is available. Arguably the only reason he was fired was he didn’t sign a striker #coyi ⚒️

David Moyes? oh please tell me this is a joke, really negative prospect. please just put an offer in for Sean Dyche #coyi @davidgold #whufc

Definite need of change at @WestHamUtd, but surely replacing Bilic with Moyes is another step back? #WestHam #moyes #COYI #bilic
