Paper round-up: West Ham linked with trio

The Sun say West Ham are targeting deals for Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi, Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Dusan Tadic of Southampton.

It is claimed that Tadic, who is under contract until 2020, could cost £15m but might be tempted by a move to the London Stadium.

The Sun say the Hammers are ready to spend big in order to improve their squad and that Iheanacho could cost £20m, while Batshuayi would be a loan deal.

Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil is ready to sign a new contract at Arsenal, again according to The Sun.

There has been much speculation over the futures of Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, whose Gunners contracts are both due to expire in 2018.

Earlier this week The Times suggested that both players will look to leave the Emirates Stadium despite manager Arsene Wenger signing a new deal and being given funds to strengthen the squad.

The Sun, on the other hand, say Germany star Ozil has been offered £270,000 a week and is ready to sign despite having initially held out for more.

The Sun also say there have been no serious offers for Ozil despite a number of clubs being linked, and that Wenger is trying to re-sign Sanchez but that the Chilean is keeping his options open amid interest from other clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City.

It is claimed that Sanchez, who is reportedly keen to stay in London, is reluctant to move to the north west.

And Manchester United are keen to snap up Ryan Sessegnon and Liverpool are still in the race to sign him, according to the Daily Telegraph.

It comes after the Daily Mirror reported that United and battling with Tottenham for the Fulham youngster and that Liverpool had ended their interest.

The Telegraph say United boss Jose Mourinho wants to take Sessegnon to Old Trafford, that there is no sign of any interested clubs withdrawing their interest, and that the player is open-minded about the possibility of staying at Fulham.
