West Ham want West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans, the Daily Mirror say.

The Hammers and Everton are said to have joined a battle to sign the former Manchester United centre-back in January.

Arsenal have also been linked with Evans, as have Manchester City, leading the Mirror to declare that there is “a four-way tug of war” to sign him.

Meanwhile, West Ham and Crystal Palace are among clubs keen to sign Danny Ings on loan from Liverpool, according to The Guardian.

Newcastle, Stoke and Brighton are also said to be interested in the striker, who is looking to rebuild his career following a long spell out with knee injuries.

He has been playing for Liverpool’s Under-23 side as part of his comeback and has been tipped to go out on loan in January.

Palace would have to negotiate the early termination of Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s season-long loan from Manchester United to make any six-month loan deal possible.

The Guardian also say West Ham boss David Moyes is considering dropping keeper Joe Hart for Saturday’s derby against Chelsea.

It comes after Adrian impressed in the England international’s absence against Manchester City at the weekend.

The Sun say Arsenal are confident there will be a breakthrough in contract negotiations with Mesut Ozil but will sell him in January if he does not agree a new deal.

The newspaper reports that ‘Emirates insiders’ have suggested a breakthrough in the negotiations is “very, very close.”

Manchester United are among the clubs to have been linked with the German but Arsenal are said to be reluctant to sell to a rival Premier League club.

And there continues to be speculation linking Eden Hazard with a move to Real Madrid.

The Sun and the Daily Mail have both picked up on a story by Spanish outlet Diario Gol which claimed that Real coach Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez have made contact with the Chelsea star.
