The Daily Mail say West Ham have told Diafra Sakho they will give him a new contract if he continues to perform.
It comes less than two months after the striker attempted to push through a pre-deadline move to French side Rennes, even completing a medical without the Hammers’ permission.
Sakho has scored in his last three matches for club and country and the Mail say there could be an attempt to secure his long-term future at the London Stadium.
Meanwhile, The Sun declare that Mesut Ozil “is facing a humiliating Arsenal climbdown” because no clubs have been willing to meet his wage demands.
Ozil’s current contract expires at the end of the season and there has been speculation over his future for some time.
He is reported to be asking for £330,000 a week and The Sun say he expected plenty of interest but could now be forced to go back to Arsenal and revive an offer of £250,000 a week he apparently turned down in the summer.
The Sun say Turkish champions Besiktas are the only club to have shown a serious interest but are unable to meet his demands and that Inter Milan are monitoring his situation but are unwilling to pay him more than Arsenal are offering.
The newspaper also claims that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, who knows Ozil from their time at Real Madrid, is not convinced the German is what he needs at Old Trafford and that even Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is starting to have second thoughts about his value.
The Daily Mirror say Chelsea’s Charly Musonda will be disciplined by the club after appearing to criticise their youth policy on social media.
And The Sun say Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Hooper is a January transfer target for Crystal Palace.
