Paper round-up: Spurs and Arsenal again linked with Doucoure

Tottenham are Arsenal are again being linked with Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The Daily Mirror claim that Watford are likely to have to sell the 25-year-old this summer and that he is wanted by both north London clubs as well as Liverpool.

Watford would want £40m for Doucoure, who was signed for £6m last summer, the Mirror say.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claim Manchester United are interested in Tottenham youngster Nonso Madueke.

The England youth international midfielder, 16, is said to have turned down the offer of a new contract.

The Mail say Madueke is ready to leave Spurs and that United have followed his progress over the past 18 months.

The Sun reports that England boss Gareth Southgate has told Dele Alli the Spurs star’s form needs to improve, while Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has not given up hope of forcing his way into Southgate’s World Cup squad.

Arsenal have held discussions about a move for Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu, the Mail say.

Turkey international Soyuncu is apparently rated at £30m and has been linked with a number of other English clubs, including Chelsea.

And Everton are in pole position to sign Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere this summer, the Daily Star claim.
