Paper round-up: Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea linked with Mahrez

Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.

The Daily Telegraph say the forward expects Leicester to honour an agreement reached last summer allowing him to leave at the end of the season and that this will spark interest from both north London clubs.

The Telegraph also suggest that Chelsea could become interested if they sell Willian, who has been linked with a move from Stamford Bridge.

Mahrez will reportedly tell Leicester, who apparently value him at more than £30m, that he wants to move to a club challenging for trophies.

The Telegraph also say West Ham have no intention of sacking manager Slaven Bilic and are considering making a move for Yaya Toure if 33-year-old midfielder leaves Manchester City.

Meanwhile, The Sun say Manchester City lead the race to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and could offer defender Jason Denayer to the Gunners as part of a £50m deal.

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United plan to offer Tottenham £40m for Eric Dier.

The Daily Star declare that Manchester United are “ready to go to war” with Chelsea over the signing of Romelu Lukaku and will offer Everton £85m for the striker.

A United source is quoted as saying: “The manager has been forced into a rethink and has made it clear he wants Lukaku at United.

“The club’s board are right behind him in the transfer market and will do everything in their power to give him what he wants.

“If this means going head-to-head with Chelsea and Roman Abramovich then so be it, because the manager wants some more marquee signings.”

The Sun say Chelsea’s pursuit of Lukaku is being driven by technical director Michael Emenalo and that Blues boss Antonio Conte believes Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata would be a better fit.

And the Daily Mail say Chelsea are confident of signing Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
