Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

Reports in his native France say United have rejected a bid from Spurs for the 21-year-old.

The Independent on Sunday reports that Spurs have denied making an offer but that there is genuine interest in Martial.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Telegraph say Tottenham are planning a spending spree ahead of the transfer deadline and will step up their apparent interest in Everton’s England midfielder Ross Barkley by making a firm offer.

The Sunday People say Everton will sign Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea, paving the way for Tottenham to buy Barkley.

The Sun on Sunday, on the other hand, say Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has doubts over whether Barkley is worth pursuing.

Chelsea will offer Leicester a deal worth more than £25m for midfielder Danny Drinkwater, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

The Daily Telegraph reported this week that Chelsea recently had a £15m bid for Drinkwater rejected.

The Sunday Telegraph say the Blues will now make another approach and could still make a move for Barkley as well.

Arsenal have given up on trying to sign midfielder Thomas Lemar from Monaco, according to the Mail on Sunday.

And The Sun on Sunday say Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez wants to tie up a deal to sign Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.
