West Ham are monitoring Sunderland centre-back Lamine Kone, according to the Daily Mirror.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is reportedly keen to strengthen his defence in January and is said to be interested in the Ivory Coast international.
Kone, 27, was previously tipped to join Everton and the Mirror say the Merseyside club could make another attempt to sign him.
Meanwhile, Chelsea captain John Terry could be offered huge money to play for Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League next season, the Daily Mail say.
The 35-year-old’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer and a decision on his future is expected in the new year.
He can expect to earn in excess of £8m per season if he opts for a move to China, the Mail say.
And former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has been lined up to replace QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink if Rangers lose at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, The Sun reports.
Sherwood worked alongside Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand and the club’s technical director Chris Ramsey at Spurs.
QPR, currently 14th in the Championship table, have never won at Nottingham Forest.
