Paper round-up: West Ham and Spurs linked with Mawson

The Daily Star say West Ham will prioritise signing defenders this summer and that the club’s top targets are Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson and Lewis Dunk of Brighton.

The Star say Tottenham are also interested in former Brentford man Mawson, who has impressed for Swansea despite their struggle against relegation. The Welsh club reportedly want £40m for him.

He has been linked with several clubs, as has Dunk, who has caught the eye for Brighton in the Premier League this term.

Meanwhile, The Sun say goalkeeper Adrian will look to leave West Ham if David Moyes stays on as manager this summer.

Manchester United are hoping to persuade Ryan Sessegnon to join them if he decides to leave Fulham, according to The Times.

The Daily Mirror reports that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone says he has had no contact with Arsenal over their managerial position despite being linked with the job.

Patrick Vieira is open to returning to Arsenal as manager this summer, The Times reports.

Arsenal have joined Chelsea and Manchester United in a race to sign Roma’s Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan, The Sun claim.

And Crystal Palace are keen to sign Belgium midfielder Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht, the Daily Mail say.
