The Guardian say West Ham have revived their interest in Brazil winger Bernard, who was previously linked with a move to the London Stadium.

He is still without a club after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk at the end of last season.

The Guardian say West Ham are keen on him again after hearing that he could be persuaded to lower his wage demands – he was previously reported to be asking for £200,000 a week.

Meanwhile, The Sun say Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida but would need to sell Shkodran Mustafi or Danny Welbeck for a deal to be possible.

Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman is said to be ready to sell at the right price and is expecting an offer for the Croatian from Wolves.

According to The Sun, Emery is plotting a £25m move for Vida but must first trim his squad ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Thibaut Courtois’ agent Christophe Henrotay has told The Sun that Chelsea should let the goalkeeper join Real Madrid.

Courtois was previously on loan at Atletico Madrid and his two children live in the Spanish capital.

Henrotay said: “I have been reading everywhere that Chelsea are saying it is up to Thibaut, but he has made it clear to the club that the best option for him is to move to Madrid.

“For him this is a big decision because he wants to be near his family, and there is an offer in place for Chelsea to accept.

“It is understandable people might be upset because he wants to leave the club, we accept that.

“But this is a human decision based on someone wanting to be close to his children – and that is a reasonable thing too.”

And Fulham want to sign Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez on loan, The Sun also reports.

The Whites are said to have offered Real a £1.75m loan fee to take the left-back to west London for a season.
