Paper round-up: Felipe Anderson bid reportedly rejected

The Express have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that West Ham have had an offer for Felipe Anderson rejected by Lazio.

The Hammers are said to have offered around £33m for the Brazilian wide-man, who has been linked with various Premier League clubs in recent months.

Lazio are reportedly looking for around £43m, with Leicester and Southampton also said to be interested.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are interested in Marouane Fellaini, according to reports.

The Belgian midfielder’s Manchester United contract runs out at the end of this month and he is reported to have snubbed the offer of a new deal.

The Daily Mirror say Arsenal are considering a move for Fellaini and have held initial talks.

The Times run a similar story, saying that Arsenal will hold talks with him on Wednesday and that he has been made an offer by AC Milan.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino rejected the chance to become Real Madrid’s next manager because he did not want to be seen as a mercenary, the Daily Mail say.

The Mail say Pochettino was effectively offered the job by Real but opted to stay at Spurs.

However, the Daily Mirror still claim Real have not given up hope of landing Pochettino but have decided not to pursue him so publicly in order to avoid being seen to be snubbed.
