Paper round-up: Spurs reportedly in talks to sign French youngster

Tottenham are in talks with Lyon over a potential deal to sign France Under-21 midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, the Mirror say.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly taking a leading role in the bid to bring Ndombele, 21, to north London.

However, the Mirror say Spurs are discussing a £35m bid and that the French club want £52m.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have joined a race to sign Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, the Mirror say.

It comes after reports that the out-of-contract midfielder is set to leave Arsenal and that West Ham are confident of signing him.

A number of other clubs, including Juventus, have been linked with Wilshere and the Mirror say Palace boss Roy Hodgson is keen to snap him up.

Palace are among clubs interested in midfielder Ben Godfrey after he impressed while on loan at Shrewsbury Town from Norwich, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mirror say Lazio will not accept less than £35m for Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson from West Ham as the Italian club would have to pay his former side Santos 20% of any transfer fee.

Arsenal continue to be linked with Sevilla’s former Stoke and Blackburn midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.

The Daily Express have picked up on reports in Spain that Sevilla are interested in Real Madrid’s Marcos Llorente.

The Express say it means N’Zonzi could be allowed to leave Sevilla and move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Mail say Manchester United are set to offer Chelsea £60m for Willian.

And the Express say Chelsea could yet sign Alisson despite reports the Brazil goalkeeper is close to a move from Roma to Real Madrid.
