West Ham have been linked with midfielders Morgan Schneiderlin and John McGinn.

It comes after reports the Hammers are trying to agree deals to sign Bournemouth’s Harry Arter and Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi.

The Sunday Mirror say attempts to capture Arter will be stepped up, but believe an enquiry has also been made about Everton’s Schneiderlin.

The Sun on Sunday say Hammers boss David Moyes faces a losing battle for N’Zonzi and is planning a move for Hibernian’s Scotland international McGinn, who could apparently cost £4m.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are among Premier League clubs looking to sign Sheffield United’s highly-rated youngster David Brooks next month, the Sunday Mirror say.

The Wales international, who is apparently rated at £20m, has been linked with several clubs in recent months.

The Sunday Mirror say Spurs, Liverpool and Everton want the 20-year-old midfielder and will “lead a scramble for his signature.”

United boss Chris Wilder has insisted the player is not for sale.

Wilder said: ”There’s a lot of off-the-record conversations, whether it be agents, or even clubs themselves asking what we are doing.

“But nothing changes from my point of view. David is not for sale because he is part and parcel of what we are doing going forward.”

The Sunday Mirror also say Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is on the shortlist to become the new manager at Paris Saint-Germain.

Pochettino is ready to make January moves for Everton’s Ross Barkley and Manchester United’s Luke Shaw, the Sunday Express say.

Olivier Giroud’s agent is due in London in the coming days for crunch talks over the Arsenal striker’s future, the Sunday Mirror say.

Arsenal are leading Chelsea and Manchester United in a race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, again according to the Sunday Mirror.

Jack Wilshere is back in England boss Gareth Southgate’s World Cup plans after returning to the Arsenal first team, The Sun on Sunday reports.

And Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to loan Ryan Sessegnon back to Fulham as part of a deal to sign the Whites youngster, also according to the Sun on Sunday.
