Paper round-up: Arsenal and Hammers linked with Gotze

Arsenal and West Ham are among English clubs keen on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze, the Daily Mirror say.

Everton, Newcastle and Leicester are also said to be interested in the Germany international, who seemingly wants to move to England.

Dortmund are reportedly looking for £18m for the 26-year-old, who has been tipped to move this summer.

West Ham are interested in Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, Metro say.

The Hammers have offered £25m plus £5m in add-ons for Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, the Daily Mail reports.

Various reports also suggest West Ham remain in talks to sign defender Alfie Mawson from Swansea City along with former Arsenal keeper Łukasz Fabiański.

Meanwhile, Juventus’ Italy international defender Daniele Rugani has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Mirror say the 24-year-old centre-back, who is said to be rated at £26m, has been added to Chelsea’s list of targets.

The Mirror have also picked up on reports in France claiming that Chelsea are involved in a battle to sign Porto left-back Alex Telles.

It is claimed that the Blues and Liverpool are competing with Paris St-Germain to snap up the Brazilian.

And The Sun say Juventus are planning to bid for Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt if Alex Sandro leaves the Italian club.
