The Sun on Sunday say Arsenal believe there isn’t a queue of clubs for Jack Wilshere so are standing firm over their contract offer.
Wilshere’s current deal expires at the end of the season and he has reportedly been offered a significant pay cut by the Gunners.
Several clubs, including West Ham, have been linked with the England midfielder, but Arsenal apparently do not believe any are willing to better their offer.
And Arsenal are monitoring 18-year-old Ajax centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, the Sunday Mirror say.
Meanwhile, Everton’s former Charlton youngster Ademola Lookman would be Crystal Palace’s first choice to replace Wilfried Zaha, The Sun on Sunday also say.
It comes as Zaha continues to be linked with a possible move, with the likes of Tottenham said to be keen.
Lookman, currently on loan at Red Bull Leipzig, has struggled to establish himself since moving to Merseyside from Charlton – and Palace are said to be interested in bringing him back to south London if they lose Zaha.
Chelsea want to replace Antonio Conte with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, again according to The Sun on Sunday.
With reports suggesting Conte will be replaced at the end of the season, The Sun on Sunday say Pochettino would be the Blues’ first choice to take over.
The newspaper reports that the Blues know their hopes of installing Pochettino would be ended if Spurs beat them in today’s derby as it would move his team closer to reaching next season’s Champions League at Chelsea’s expense.
The Sunday Mirror say Chelsea will make a £30m move for Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles this summer and the Sunday Express link Blues striker Alvaro Morata with a possible return to his former club Real Madrid.
