Paper round-up: Sevilla reportedly unwilling to sell Banega

The Independent reports that Sevilla are unwilling to sell midfielder Ever Banega amid interest from Arsenal.

The Argentina international, 29, has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium but The Independent say Sevilla are insisting Banega is not for sale.

Meanwhile, The Sun say Arsenal’s hopes of signing Miguel Layun have been boosted after the Mexico defender, who spent last season on loan at Porto from Sevilla, admitted a return to the Spanish club is “complicated” for him.

Arsenal have cooled their interest in Brighton defender Lewis Dunk, according to the Daily Mirror.

West Brom have rejected an offer from West Ham for Craig Dawson, the Daily Telegraph say.

The Hammers are said to have offered £12m for the defender, but West Brom apparently want more than £20m.

The Telegraph say a number of other Premier League clubs are also interested in Dawson, with Burnley reportedly having bids rejected as well.

The Sun say West Ham full-back Sam Byram is set to join Nottingham Forest on loan.

West Ham star Manuel Lanzini is set to miss the whole of next season because of the knee injury he suffered in training with Argentina just before the World Cup, the Mirror reports.

Chelsea are unwilling to sell Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer but could be open to another season-long loan deal, the Daily Mail reports.

And Fulham want sign Bosnia Under-21 midfielder Edis Smajic from Sloboda Tuzla, The Sun say.
