Speculation continues over the future of Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

The centre-back’s contract with the club is due to expire in 2019 and he has yet to agree a new deal.

The Daily Mail claims talks have stalled and that Spurs are refusing to change their wage policy so could end up selling Alderweireld in the summer.

The former Atletico Madrid man, 28, reportedly earns £50,000 per week and it is claimed he is looking for a deal in excess of Tottenham’s current wage ceiling, which is reported to be £110,000 a week.

And the Mail again suggest there could be interest in the player from Manchester City, who have previously been linked with him.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil continues to be linked with a possible move to Manchester United.

A number of Saturday’s newspapers declare that United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to sign the German, who previously played under him at Real Madrid.

The stories appear to be based on Mourinho smiling and replying “no comment” when asked at a press conference on Friday about reports linking him with Ozil.

And Charlton have been linked with Woking defender Nathan Ralph.

The Sun say the Addicks, Oxford United and Scottish club Hearts are tracking the Cards left-back.

The 24-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the season, was previously at Peterborough.
