Spurs linked with ex-Chelsea man Ake

Tottenham want Bournemouth’s former Chelsea defender Nathan Ake, according to The Sun.

The newspaper say Ake is Spurs’ top defensive target ahead of the January transfer window.

Dutchman Ake has impressed since moving to the south coast from Chelsea and is among a host of players Spurs have been linked with ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Sun also say Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is planning a clear-out and that back-up keeper Michel Vorm is on the way out.

Spurs will also apparently listen to offers for central midfielder Victor Wanyama and are still trying to offload Mousa Dembele.

Eric Bailly of Manchester United is another defender Tottenham have been linked with.

The Daily Express claim that Spurs, who did not make a single summer signing, could spend up to £85m in January on Bailly and Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

The story is largely based on the Daily Mirror previously claiming that Ndombele is being targeted by the club.

The Mirror now say Tottenham are interested in Fiorentina’s Serbia defender Nikola Milenkovic.

Milenkovic is the latest centre-back to be touted as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld amid doubts over the Belgian’s future.

Manchester United have been linked with both Milenkovic and Alderweireld.
