Everton boss Sam Allardyce wants to sign James Tomkins from Crystal Palace, The Sun say.
Tomkins, who previously played under Allardyce at both Palace and West Ham, is one of a host of players Everton have been linked in recent weeks.
The Sun suggest Palace would want £20m to sell the centre-back – around double the fee they paid West Ham.
West Ham and Arsenal both want Sevilla’s former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, as do Everton, The Sun also say.
And the Daily Mirror declare that West Ham and Palace are in “a three-way Premier League fight” which also includes West Brom for the signing of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are interested in Burnley defender James Tarkowski, according to The Times.
Manchester City are also said to be keen on the former Brentford centre-back, who has impressed for the Clarets this season.
The Times believe Burnley would want a large transfer fee for Tarkowski and that both the Gunners and City are considering making offers in January.
There continues to be speculation over the future of Alexis Sanchez as he approaches the end of his Arsenal contract.
The Daily Express say Paris St-Germain will offer £25m for Sanchez but that he favours a move to Manchester City.
The Daily Mirror run a similar story, claiming that Sanchez plans to reject a potential January move and join City on a Bosman free transfer in the summer in a deal which would apparently earn him £400,000 a week.
The Independent believe Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar would prefer a move to Liverpool over joining Arsenal or Chelsea.
The Daily Star have picked up reports in Spain claiming that Arsenal and Liverpool are in talks to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
