Palace linked with McCarthy, M’Vila and Niang

Crystal Palace are interested in Everton midfielder James McCarthy, according to the Mail.

The Mail say both the Eagles and Newcastle are considering making bids for McCarthy, 26, ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.

McCarthy is among a host of players Palace have been linked with during this month’s transfer window.

Allardyce reportedly keen on M’Vila

Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce is considering launching a bid to sign Yann M’Vila, according to the Telegraph.

The Rubin Kazan midfielder played under Allardyce while on loan at Sunderland, who have agreed a deal to sell Patrick Van Aanholt to Palace.

The Telegraph say Allardyce is also pondering a move for M’Vila and is still hopeful of completing the signing of full-back Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal.

Allardyce is said to be trying to persuade the Palace board to pay £11m in order to sign the French midfielder – M’Vila reportedly has a clause in his contract enabling him to move for that amount.

M’Vila was a stand-out player for Allardyce at Sunderland, who were expected to sign him on a permanent basis last summer.

Jenkinson, meanwhile, has been discussing personal terms after a deal was agreed between Palace and Arsenal.

Allardyce recently said the signing of Jenkinson was “hanging in the balance” while discussions were ongoing.

Niang linked

Crystal Palace and West Ham are both keen on AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang, according to Sky in Italy.

Everton are also said to be interested in the Frenchman, as are Italian club Genoa.

Milan reportedly want £13m for Niang and would apparently consider a loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
