Pardew linked with players amid speculation over Palace manager’s future

Alan Pardew is looking at January transfer targets despite doubts over his future as Crystal Palace manager, the Guardian say.

The newspaper reports that Pardew is interested in Newcastle’s Paul Dummett as he knows the defender from his time as manager at St James’ Park.

Pardew is keen to sign a left-back and it is claimed that as well as Dummett there is interest in Charlie Taylor of Leeds United and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.

It comes after speculation that Palace might target a loan move for Manchester United’s England left-back Luke Shaw, who has apparently indicated that he would not want to join the Eagles.

Senegal international midfielder Badou Ndiaye, currently with Osmanlispor in Turkey, is also said to be on Palace’s radar.

Pardew is under pressure following a series of poor results and there are reports that he is likely to be sacked if his team lose to his former club Southampton on Saturday.

Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has again been touted as a possible replacement for Pardew, this time by the Daily Mirror.

Mancini and former England manager Sam Allardyce, who have both recently been linked with the Palace job, are interested, the Mirror say.

Wales manager Chris Coleman and ex-Porto boss Vitor Pereira are also said to be in the frame.
