Leeds United and Celtic want to sign Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom, The Sun say.

Forward Akpom, 21, is said to have decided that the time is right to move on after being unable to establish himself as a first-team player at Arsenal.

He has made just four appearances for the Gunners and has had loan spells at Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Brighton.

The Sun say Leeds want him to replace Chris Wood, who has signed for Burnley, and that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is also keen.

Akpom has been linked with several Championship clubs in recent months, including Brentford and Fulham,

Meanwhile, Arsenal have offered Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a four-year contract, according to the Daily Star.

The offer has reportedly been made as Chelsea continue to be linked with the England international, whose current contract is due to expire next year.

The Star say he has been offered £125,000 a week by the Gunners.

Leicester City are keen to sign Andros Townsend from Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail.

Palace reportedly need to sell in order to buy and are interested in Red Bull Leipzig’s former Nottingham Forest youngster Oliver Burke.

And the Daily Telegraph reports that West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is not expecting to sign a new centre-back despite his team’s defensive frailties.
