West Ham among clubs eyeing Bees star Jota

West Ham are among Premier League clubs interested in Brentford star Jota, West London Sport reports.

West London Sport reports that Everton and Newcastle are also showing an interest in the 25-year-old Spaniard and that Brentford value him at £8m.

Jota was outstanding after returning from a loan spell at Spanish club Eibar in January, scoring 12 goals in 27 appearances.

He is under contract at Griffin Park until the summer of 2018, with Brentford having recently activated an option to extend his contract by a year.

Meanwhile, QPR have been linked with Millwall’s Fred Onyedinma, but News Shopper reports that Lions boss Neil Harris is optimistic the winger will stay with the Lions.

“At one point, it looked as though we may lose Fred. But now it looks as though we may be able to keep him,” Harris said.

Dijon forward Mamadou Thiam is the latest player Get West London have linked with QPR.

Get West London say Rangers and Fulham are “rumoured to be interested in the 22-year-old along with Nottingham Forest and Norwich.

Rangers are “rumoured to be interested in making an approach” for Lorient winger Denis Bouanga, Get West London also claim.

Get West London have also recently linked with R’s with Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, who is set to join Newcastle or Brighton, and 41-year-old keeper Shay Given, and linked Conor Washington with a possible move to Birmingham after fans’ website Vital Birmingham City published an article asking whether Washington might be the kind of forward who might succeed at St Andrews.

And Josh Bowler has rejected a new contract at QPR, West London Sport reports.

Bowler now looks likely to leave, with Everton having shown an interest in signing him this summer.

West London Sport reports that Bowler has snubbed an offer from Rangers, who are keen for him to stay.

West London Sport reported last week that Rangers had offered Bowler a new three-year contract and rejected Everton’s latest bid for him.

Everton made an improved offer for the 18-year-old winger after having an initial bid rejected.

West London Sport reported that Rangers believe they are likely to lose Bowler, 18, if his head is turned by Premier League interest and that they are ready to sell him if he is unwilling to commit his future to the club.

He is under contract at Loftus Road until the summer of 2018, having signed an 18-month deal in February this year.

Get West London on the other hand, claim it is “merely speculation” that a contract has been offered to Bowler and reckon no decision has been taken by Rangers regarding Everton’s bid.
