Crystal Palace are among a number of clubs interested in Le Havre defender Ferland Mendy, according to Sky Sports News HQ.
West Brom, Brighton and Birmingham are also said to be keen on the 21-year-old left-back, who is apparently rated at £7m.
Mendy has a year left on his contract and there has been much speculation about his future in the French media, which has linked with him with the likes of Monaco, Marseille and Lyon.
He has been touted as a possible replacement for Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy, who has been linked with Premier League clubs, including Chelsea.
Palace are also among clubs interested in Coventry City youngster Jordan Ponticelli, the Sun say.
Everton, Leicester and newly-promoted Huddersfield are also said to be interested in the 18-year-old striker, who has been prolific at youth level for the Sky Blues.
The Sun say Palace have been watching him but could fall behind in the race to sign him because they are currently without a manager.
Meanwhile, Ryan Bertrand has again been linked with a potential return to Chelsea by the Daily Mirror.
The newspaper say Bertrand, sold to Southampton by Chelsea in 2015, has told friends he wants to leave the Saints this summer.
The Blues, Liverpool and Manchester City are said to be interested in signing the 27-year-old left-back amid speculation that he would prefer to stay in the south.
Romelu Lukaku wants to rejoin Chelsea from Everton and has told his advisers to seal a deal for him to return to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail.
The Sun say John Terry is “moving closer” to joining Bournemouth after holding talks with Cherries boss Eddie Howe over a £100,000-a-week move to the south-coast club.
The Sun have also picked up on reports in Hector Bellerin’s native Spain claiming that the Arsenal right-back has agreed terms on a move to Barcelona.
And West Ham are in talks to sign winger Jurgen Damm, 24, from Mexican club Tigres for £4m, again according to The Sun.
