Speculation continues over the future of Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.

A number of clubs, including Manchester United, have been linked with the German, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

The Daily Mirror claim Ozil will be offered £350,000 a week to join Barcelona and that the Catalan giants are set to beat United to his signing.

It comes after reports claiming that United boss Jose Mourinho, who previously managed Ozil at Real Madrid, is keen to take him to Old Trafford.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has denied suggestions that Ozil has already agreed a deal to join Barca.

Asked at a press conference if the player had an agreement in place to move to the Nou Camp, Wenger said: “No. What kind of control can I have over that [speculation]?

“All these people have agents who can talk to anybody. That doesn’t disturb people, that happens all through their career.”

Meanwhile, Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti is keen to keep Mauro Icardi, reports The Sun, which claims Chelsea are lining up a £100m bid for the forward.

The Sun say Argentina international Icardi is among Chelsea’s top targets ahead of the January transfer window.

But Spalletti is quoted as saying: “Who does not want Icardi? I am convinced he can stay at Inter forever.”
