Paper round-up: Mbappe speculation and Carroll touted for China move

Arsenal and Tottenham continue to be linked with Monaco’s teenage forward Kylian Mbappe.

Metro reports that Monaco have slapped a £51m price tag on the 18-year-old amid interest from both north London clubs.

The story is based on French newspaper Le Parisien suggesting Monaco are looking for that amount in order to sell the player.

Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday say West Ham have been trying to sell Andy Carroll to Chinese Super League clubs.

Chairman David Sullivan is said to have authorised the sale of the striker at a board meeting earlier this month.

It is claimed that discussions have been held with Tianjin Quanjian, Hebei China Fortune and Shandong Luneng Taishan.

The newspaper believes talks have not progressed, however, and the Hammers fear they will not be able to push a deal through before the Chinese transfer window closes on Tuesday.

Amid continued speculation over the future of Arsene Wenger, the Sunday Express say Arsenal could miss out on Juventus boss Masimiliano Allegri, who it’s claimed is the Gunners’ first-choice replacement for Wenger, because of interest from Barcelona.

Liverpool are favourites to sign Fulham’s teenage left-back Ryan Sessegnon, the Sunday Express say.

The Sun on Sunday say Chelsea are leading a race to sign striker Joaquin Ardaiz, 18, from Uruguayan club Danubio.

And the Daily Star Sunday reports that Chelsea have told Tianjin Quanjian that Diego Costa will cost a world record £127m.
