Paper round-up: Wenger tipped to spend and Huddersfield are linked with duo

Arsene Wenger will be given at least £100m to spend in the transfer window after agreeing a new two-year deal to stay on as Arsenal manager, the Daily Star say.

The Daily Mirror, meanwhile, say Wenger could be given as much as £150m to spend and that his targets include AC Milan’s Colombia striker Carlos Bacca, Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez and Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar.

However, The Times say Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are both set to leave despite Wenger staying on to revamp the squad.

The Mirror say Huddersfield want to sign Ashley Fletcher on a season-long loan from West Ham following the Yorkshire club’s promotion to the top flight.

The Mirror say a number of other clubs, including Fulham, are interested in the 21-year-old forward.

The Sun, on the other hand, reckon Huddersfield are targeting Crystal Palace’s out-of-contract striker Fraizer Campbell.

And Chelsea want Paris Saint-Germain keeper Alphonse Areola to replace Asmir Begovic, again according to The Sun,

The Blues have been linked with a host of keepers in recent months and The Sun say Areola, 24, is the man Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to take over from Begovic as Thibaut Courtois’ deputy at Stamford Bridge.

Begovic is joining Bournemouth in order to play regular first-team football, while former France Under-21 international Areola is PSG’s second-choice keeper behind Kevin Trapp.
